What we do

Five services, one goal: more of the right customers finding you

Website development leads everything else. SEO, custom applications, marketing and mobile work because there is a well-built website underneath them.

  • 01

    Website Development

Fast, accessible, search-ready websites built on modern static and hybrid architecture — designed around the business they have to grow.

    • Design and build from a single brief
    • Core Web Vitals treated as an acceptance criterion, not an afterthought
    • Content you can publish yourself without touching code
    Website Development — read more
  • 02

    Search Engine Optimization

Technical SEO, on-page work and content programmes that target the searches your customers actually make — measured in rankings, clicks and enquiries.

    • Technical audit fixing crawl, index and speed problems first
    • Keyword mapping that prevents cannibalisation between pages
    • Reporting tied to search data, never to activity counts
Search Engine Optimization — read more
  • 03

    Custom Web Applications

Internal tools, portals, dashboards and booking systems built for the way your team already works, not for a template it has to fit into.

    • Requirements and data model agreed before a line of code
    • Role-based access and audit trails as defaults
    • Deployed to infrastructure you control
Custom Web Applications — read more
  • 04

    Digital Marketing

Campaigns, content and paid activity planned against a funnel, so spend is judged by qualified enquiries instead of impressions.

    • Channel plan tied to the funnel stage it has to move
    • Landing pages built to convert, not just to exist
    • Tracking that survives contact with real users
    Digital Marketing — read more
  • 05

    Mobile Application Development

Cross-platform mobile applications that share one codebase, ship to both stores, and reuse the APIs your web platform already exposes.

    • One codebase for iOS and Android
    • Offline-tolerant data handling where the use case needs it
    • Store submission handled end to end
Mobile Application Development — read more
  • 06

    Hosting & Managed Services

Managed hosting, monitoring, backups and ongoing maintenance for sites that have to stay up, stay fast and stay patched.

    • Backups you have actually restored in a test
    • Uptime and performance monitoring with alerting
    • A written rollback path before any change

Systems we built and still run

DevTenent's own products. They are the honest answer to "what have you made?" — the tooling we use on client sites, and platforms built end to end.

Why DevTenent

Most websites are not slow, insecure or invisible by accident

They are built that way, because someone skipped the structural decisions and started with the design. We do the opposite, in this order.

  • 01

Search is designed in, not bolted on

Page structure, metadata, internal linking and the URL map are decided before the first page is built. Retrofitting SEO onto a finished site costs more and works less well.

  • 02

    Performance is an acceptance criterion

Core Web Vitals thresholds are written into the brief. A page that misses them is not finished, whatever it looks like.

  • 03

    You own what we build

Code lives in your GitHub organisation, content lives as files, and hosting sits on accounts you control. There is no lock-in you have to pay to escape.

  • 04

One writer per thing, and a written rollback

Every change to a live property is made against a recorded backup with the rollback written down first. That is why our own disaster-recovery runbooks are tested, not aspirational.

How it runs

Five stages, and you know which one you are in

  1. 01

    Discovery

We audit what you have, define what the site has to achieve, and agree the measurable acceptance criteria before design starts.

  2. 02

    Structure

Sitemap, URL map, keyword-to-page mapping and the design system. This is the stage that prevents expensive rework later.

  3. 03

    Design

You see the homepage direction and the key page templates before the rest of the site is built, not after.

  4. 04

    Build

Component by component, with a deployable preview at every step so progress is visible instead of described.

  5. 05

    Verify and launch

Accessibility, performance, metadata, forms and analytics checked against the acceptance criteria — then cut over with a rollback path on standby.

Technology

Growth

A website nobody finds is an expense, not an asset

Search visibility comes from technical foundations, content that answers real questions, and internal linking that distributes authority on purpose. We build all three, then measure them.

  • Technical first

Crawlability, indexation, canonicals, sitemaps and Core Web Vitals are fixed before content volume ever helps.

  • Keyword-to-page mapping

One primary intent per URL, so pages support each other instead of competing for the same search.

  • Content that earns the click

Written against real search intent and reviewed before publication — not generated in bulk.

  • Measured, not assumed

Search Console, analytics and rank tracking wired to the questions that matter: queries, clicks and enquiries.

Questions

Answered before you have to ask

Still unsure? Describe the problem in your own words — including whether the honest answer is that you do not need a new website yet.

What does a website project involve?

Five stages: discovery, structure, design, build, then verification and launch. You see and approve the direction before the full build starts, and there is a deployable preview throughout.

How long does a website take?

It depends on page count, whether copy exists already, and how much custom functionality is involved. You get a dated, itemised timeline with the quote — and we tell you which of your decisions would move it.

Can I update the site myself?

Yes. Articles and page content are published through a private editing interface on the website itself. You write, preview and publish without touching code, and publishing is what triggers the deploy.

Do you only work with businesses in Sri Lanka?

No. We are based in Rajagiriya and work with businesses across Sri Lanka, and also with overseas businesses and agencies who need a reliable development partner. Projects outside Colombo run remotely with scheduled calls and shared progress updates.

What happens after launch?

Hosting, monitoring, backups and updates can be managed for you. Websites need maintenance the way anything else does — the difference is whether it happens on a schedule or after something breaks.
